Who is the new head of the FBI?

President of the United States of America, Barack Obama, named one of the closest associates of his predecessor George W. Bush, in charge of the FBI federal police.

The selection of James B. Comey on top of one of the most important institutions in the country, was announced in advance by the "New York Times".

Comey, during the Bush administration, headed a department in the state Department of Justice.

The FBI has recently placed in the center of

criticism of incompetence, after the terrorist attack occurred in the Boston Marathon.

In its capacity as a police force with jurisdiction throughout the U.S., the FBI has specific tasks in the fight against terrorism.

Comey will replace the head of the FBI's predecessor, Robert Mueller.
