Liga - Transfer round-up: Malaga 'don't need to sell' Isco

A round-up of the day's Spanish transfer gossip, as Malaga vice-president Moayad Shatat has warned Real Madrid and Manchester City that they will only sell Isco 'at the right offer'.

The young playmaker confirmed earlier this week that both Madrid and City have put forward proposals for him to consider this summer, amid continued speculation that he will be sold.

However, Malaga have affirmed today that they will only sell the player, who has a €35m buyout clause, at an amount they are happy with.

“We have no need to sell Isco, so if the right offer isn’t presented, then we won’t even consider it,” Shatat told reporters today.

“Isco is a magnificent player, and we would never sell him for an unfair price.”

The club are expected to lose a number of players from their squad this summer, with Martin Demichelis expected to leave with his contract expired and Jeremy Toulalan linked with Atletico Madrid.

“This season Malaga will have a budget of over €40m .We’re looking at a medium to long-term project, so we’re not focusing on next month or next year, but working towards the best future for the club.

“We’ve made a fair offer to Demichelis and are awaiting his reply, and with regards to Toulalan, we haven’t had any negotiations with anyone.

“At the end of the day, the club is above the players, and it is the club that should determine the conditions, not the footballers themselves.”

Milos Krasic has said that he has received a ‘very interesting’ offer from Sevilla, but has indicated that he is likely to stay with Fenerbahce.

The Serbian winger, who has previously played for CSKA Moscow and Juventus, has been with his Turkish employers since last summer, but has struggled for game-time.

On from this, the 28-year-old has speculated that he has been the subject of an approach from Sevilla, who are in the market for a replacement for departed right-winger Jesus Navas.

“Sevilla have made me a very interesting offer and I am considering it,” Krasic told Tutto Mercato this week.

“But for now I am at Fenerbahce, they have a new Coach and the prospects there have improved for me. On June 28, I return to Istanbul and start working with the team.”

Arsenal are reportedly leading a number of clubs interested in picking up Real Sociedad’s Spain Under-21 international Asier Illarramendi.

On from playing a key role in his club side’s run to Champions League qualification last season, the central midfielder’s performances for La Rojita at this summer’s UEFA Under-21 Championship have reportedly caught the eye.

A number of clubs are said to be interested, but the Daily Mail speculated that it is Arsenal who are ‘leading the way’ for the €12m-rated youngster, ahead of Real Madrid./eurosport.co.uk/
